During this trying time of covid pandemic, we want to assure our treasured customers that we are going to great lengths to protect our product creation. This may require a few extra days to get orders out the door. We have also discovered that we too are subject to delays in receiving supplies (oils). Our regular bottle shape must have been popular with the hand sanitizer companies as they have been on back order since March! Covenant Creek Farm was established in 1993 in North Texas. The founder, Chris Holland, had spent her life living in anguish with allergies to the fragrances and harsh chemicals found in commercial soaps and skin care products. She began researching how to make her own skin care products without chemicals, detergents, or foaming agents and incorporate herbs and botanical ingredients. The more she learned, she became an advocate for natural living and raising her family naturally. The Dairy Goats became a very important part of this journey. These amazing creatures provided wholesome, fresh milk for the family’s table, in a glass, in delicious cheeses, fudge, cajeta, and soaps and lotions.
According to the Journal of American Medicine, “Goat’s milk is the most complete food known.” It contains vitamins, minerals, electrolytes, trace elements, enzymes, protein and fatty acids that are utilized by your body with ease. In fact, your body can digest goat’s milk in just 20 minutes. It takes 2-3 hours to digest cow’s milk. Recognized for centuries as a natural emollient, goat’s milk absorbs easily and quickly to soothe and hydrate dry skin. It contains vitamins A, B6, B12, and E and three times more beta-casein than cow’s milk. It’s trigycerides, capric, caprylic and caproic acids help balance the skin’s natural pH and promote natural exfoliation of dead, dry skin helping the skin maintain a more youthful, healthy glow. Our milk is produced without hormones, steroids, or antibiotics.
The family relocated to Mississippi in 1999 and continues the mission to create and provide the highest quality products available. We have never tested our products on animals. Our animals all live in a cruelty free environment. We have hands on contact with the goats on a daily basis. They are far from neglected! The planet we all share is of utmost concern when developing or making our products. We are chemical free and use food grade materials from sustainable sources when possible.
The family dynamic may have changed over the years, but the children are now adults who help with the farm and continue the charge to change the way the world views how to feed their skin while leaving a smaller imprint on our planet.
